Movie Car Auctions to Feature "Triple X" GTO, "Fast and Furious" Nissan 350Z

Movie Car Auctions to Feature "Triple X" GTO, "Fast and Furious" Nissan 350Z!!

Movie car buffs may want to take note: Premiere Props will be hosting two star-car auctions this August, each featuring vehicles from several major motion pictures including "Triple X," "No Country for Old Men" and "The Fast and the Furious."

The first auction is August 1, and features a 1967 Pontiac GTO from "Triple X." The movie car, driven by leading actor Vin Diesel, received a complete restoration for the movie with a big-block Chevy V-8 engine, four-wheel disc brakes and plenty of custom touches. Other movie memorabilia to be sold during the event includes two ex-Travis Pastrana helmets and a custom 1972 Ford Mustang fastback. There will even be some non-automotive related lots, including a dorsal fin from Jacques Cousteau's first shark -- if you're into that kind of thing.

The second auction on August 8 will be much more vehicle-oriented, with the 1979 Ford Bronco from "No Country for Old Men," the heavily decorated Volkswagen Bus from "Little Miss Sunshine" and a 1971 Cadillac Eldorado convertible from "Soul Men," among other movie vehicles.

Both auctions will be based in El Segundo in southern California, and bidders can put their offers in either live at the event, or online through www.icollector.com. A partial auction list at each event follows below, as supplied by Premiere Props. Which vehicle would be your pick? Let us know in the comments section!

  2. A 1967 Pontiac GTO! That's practically considered as one of the best muscle cars in history. If there was an auction that time, whoever got the vehicle was incredibly lucky. The car used in the movie was jaw-dropping. It had so much gadgetry in it! Owning a car like that would make you one among a few who have cars featured in movies. =)
